My name is Jane and I am 35 years old. I am a survivor. I am also “Mummy” to two “little people” and a partner to a 39 year old geek called Jason. Our relatively new little family live on the shores of Lake Geneva (“Lac Leman”) in a very beautiful part of Switzerland.
I have lived through many experiences that, at the time, felt they had the capacity to destroy me. I have always loved to write and have done so through these hellishly turbulent, sometimes terrifying, often happy and, at best, blissfully exciting times.
If there is any time left, after chasing small children, changing nappies, toilet training, shopping, awarding stars for good behaviour and preparing numerous meals for fussy palates, whilst translating my jumbled thoughts into clarity, I try to be a girlfriend, a friend, a daughter and a sister.
My new life with my little family came after I “started again”, aged 31. I left my husband, my job and my home. Nothing was working in my life and I knew that if I had any chance of happiness, I had to leave everything behind and find whatever it was I was looking for, freeing others in the process. I found my best friend, I found Motherhood and as I continue on this rollercoaster ride, I am trying to find myself. This is the story of my struggle to correlate my “old” life with my “new” one and my amazing experiences along the way. It is a love story in more ways than one.
